: A Candidate for Confirmation in the St Boniface, St James, St Johns, or St Marys parish has informed us that you have been chosen as a Confirmation sponsor.

A Confirmation sponsor as a unique relationship in the candidate's journey of faith. Our candidates were asked to give serious consideration to their choice of a sponsor. They were encouraged to choose a Godparent from Baptism, or another Catholic who actively practices their faith.

: REQUIREMENTS OF A SPONSOR:

Sponsors bring the candidates to receive the Sacrament, present them to the bishop for anointing, and will later help them to fulfill their baptismal promises faithfully under the influence of the Holy Spirit whom they have received. Sponsors are to be spiritually fit to take on this responsibility.
